About the founders.
Most sportswear is made entirely from synthetic fabrics, such as polyester or nylon: fibers derived from petroleum. In other words, plastic.
These fibers are often treated with chemical dyes, plasticizers, and other auxiliary substances during production. When exposed to sweat, heat, and friction—precisely the conditions for which sportswear is intended—these substances can be released onto your skin. Additionally, synthetic fibers release microplastics: particles that have now been found in human blood and lung tissue.
Why We Started
Dutch sisters Babette and Vivianne were looking for stylish sportswear made from natural fibers whose composition they could verify. They couldn't find any. So, they made it themselves and launched it in Amsterdam in August 2026.
The search for a producer took a long time because the requirement was rare: demonstrably the highest quality organic cotton, certified production, and complete transparency about what goes into it. They found one in Turkey, a country known for centuries for its high-quality organic cotton.
The result: 92% GOTS-certified organic cotton and 8% spandex—the minimum needed for stretch and support, and nothing else.
